Agrico wants to be the largest in the world

‘We want to become market leader in the worldwide seed potato trade.’ We’re talking with Jan van Hoogern (51), general manager of the Agrico cooperative, which was founded 40 years ago. He aims high for ‘his’ celebrating cooperative. Perfectly relaxed, in his office, he explains why he wants to be the largest seed potato trading company in the world. In no uncertain terms, he tells us that he wants to increase the Dutch seed potato acreage by a total of 10 percent in the coming years. Moreover, he has high hopes for the cultivation of table potatoes, licensed potatoes and locally-grown seed potatoes in the most important potato countries in the world
