Last year, the Dutch potato processing company Peka Kroef in the village of Odiliapeel invested in an ultra-modern taring line from RMA-Techniek in ‘s Heer Arendskerke. According to Peter van Boxtel, who is the man responsible at Kroef for the reception of potatoes, transparency during taring is very important because a lot depends on it for both the factory and the grower. ‘Transparent taring is essential for a fair price for both the growers and the buyers’, expert Van Boxtel knows from years of experience.
