‘We’ll start as soon as potato packagers go from tons per hour to bags per minute’

November 2020

On 1 April, it was 25 years ago that Herman Wehkamp (60) and Peter Lenferink (56) jointly founded Manter in the town of Emmen. The company, which started with the production of one type of weighing and packaging machine, has now developed into an international group of enterprises. Emmen alone employs 100 people and customers are spread across a total of 72 countries. ‘As soon as potato packagers go from tons per hour to bags per minute, that’s where we start’, Wehkamp said during an interview via Skype.
