Upon his inauguration as a lecturer at CAH Vilentum in Dronten, in his inaugural address, Dr. Peter Kooman (52) presented a number of clear messages. It is his view that the potato chain may be good at solving problems but they would do better to focus on preventing them. By organising a chain that focuses on a reward system rather than punishment, they would be taking a huge step forwards. In addition, he points to a number of disconnections between the seed/table potato and seed/chips sectors.
