Potato processor Lamb Weston / Meijer from Kruiningen (the Netherlands) has been working for some years now, together with Mooij Agro BV in Hegelsom, on the development of Weight Watcher. No, we’re not talking about the well-known slimming programme for people that are overweight. What we’re talking about here is an ingenious piece of equipment that tries to keep the weight of potato tubers at the same level. Sjaak Aben, agronomist at manufacturer and crop grower Leen Jan Boot explains how it works.
