Requested: new HDS varieties due to a sharp rise in flakes andgranule production

‘We want new varieties as soon as possible for the cultivation of special High Dry Matter (HDM) potatoes, because the production of high-quality flakes and granules needs to increase significantly within two years.’ That’s the important message that Aviko Rixona in Venray recently presented to all leading breeders in the Netherlands during a Breeders Day organised specifically for them.
