Agrico and TPC expect to operate more efficiently in the market through takeover

After years of collaboration, the Agrico potato cooperative in Emmeloord has taken over the seed potato activities of fellow villager The Potato Company (TPC). In an exclusive interview, both Mark Zuidhof, CEO of Agrico, and Gaby Stet, the current owner-manager of TPC, emphasise that both are ready for the next step. ‘We want to achieve a good price for our seed potato growers and offer a complete range of varieties. This takeover allows us to combine mutual business processes in the Agrico group. We expect to achieve more synergy in the market by optimising the strengths of both companies’, the directors say unanimously.
