The 100-year-old Van der Windt family business is expanding its activities

When you say Van der Windt, you’re talking fodder potatoes, is still what they say in the potato sector. Yet this description has long ceased to cover the essence of the 100-year-old family business. The expansion of activities started some time ago and will only increase in the coming years. This is already evident from the beautiful mural in the reception hall at the headquarters in the village of De Lier. The barge with which grandpa Piet sailed across the South Holland and Zeeland inland waters as a start-up trader has now been exchanged for an impressive fleet of road transport vehicles. These now transport potatoes far beyond the borders, outlines Nico van der Windt as a member of the third generation. And the next generation is already in the starting blocks to give the potato trade, the transport, and the recently-added pallet sales further wings.
