In the Westpolder, located directly on the Wadden Sea in the province of Groningen, Mansholt Veredelingsbedrijf BV successfully breeds potatoes and also grows about 65 hectares of high-quality seed potatoes annually. ‘Everything is about growing healthy potatoes’, says the current managing director Jochum Mansholt (35) in the middle of a field of potential varieties.

The efficiency of overhead irrigation for potato crops
