Higher income by using sustainable precision technology

Towards sustainable agriculture, that was the theme of the information day about new precision technology recently held in the northern region of the Netherlands. Thanks to the use of GPS, digital plot mapping and sensor technology, it is now possible to be more efficient with fuel, artificial fertiliser and crop protection chemicals. An important objective, of course, but is it worth investing in all that precision technology? That was the key question here. Yes, it is, even on the relatively small-scale seed potato farms in the Netherlands.
