The Indian agri-commerce company WayCool Foods wants to transform the food economy in India, included the potato chain. The company uses modern technologies to share knowledge with almost a hundred thousand farmers from whom they buy their products. In doing so, the company aims to increase the yields and support sustainable agriculture. Co-founder and CEO Karthik Jayaraman and his team have meanwhile raised an amount available for investment of 117 million dollars. The money comes in part from the Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO).
