APH Group appoints new CCO and CFO to further shape the future

APH Group announced that Albertus Kloosterman and Bart van Doorn joined the company as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The APH Group, founded in 1997, is the a large distributor of equipment and installations for professionals in the potato industry and also grain, vegetables and irrigation business, with own subsidiaries in 10 countries. The company, with corporate headquarters in Heerenveen, the Netherlands, represents a number of brands including Horizon, Precision Planting, Harvest International, Dewulf-Miedema, Baselier, Agricola, Samon, Imants, Wifo, T-L Irrigation, Euromacchine, Idrofoglia, Fasterholt, Omnivent, Manter, Solidtec, Wevano, Pro-Vega and Kloppenburg. APH Group focuses on combining the right technology with the local circumstances, in order to maximize the efficiency of its customers.

International subsidiaries

“One of my main targets will be to further shape the growth strategy of APH Group together with both the team in Heerenveen as well as our international subsidiaries. Hence, I am looking forward to get out and about and get in touch with our customers and suppliers, meet our people on the ground and get to know the local needs and desires. Overall, this is a very exciting opportunity to be leading the sales and marketing team and to realise the growth ambitions of APH Group together”, says Albertus Kloosterman. He has a background in animal nutrition followed by an extensive career in the world of (agricultural) spare parts. After studying ‘Animal Sciences’ at Wageningen University & Research, Kloosterman started his career at Nutreco Animal Nutrition, whereafter he joined Trouw Nutrition Russia as technical director. In 2011, he continued his career at Kramp where he held various international commercial management positions over the past 12 years with his last position as Commercial Director in Denmark.

Ambitious growth plans

Bart van Doorn has an extensive career in financial management positions at agribusiness corporates among others Alta Genetics Inc. and AB Vakwerk. Next to that he has been a member of the Advisory Board of APH Group from 2018 until 2021. Van Doorn holds two Bachelor’s degrees in (Agricultural) Business Administration and completed various executive educational courses at Nyenrode Business University. With the appointment of Van Doorn as CFO, Alex Gijzenberg will continue his career at APH Group as Business Controller and focus on supporting the international subsidiaries more intensively to foster their growth. “APH Group has made impressive strides as a company in recent years, but is as ambitious as ever to further professionalise and optimise its organisation and processes. Therefore, my focus will be on sustaining and further strengthening the financial position in order to contribute to the ambitious growth plans of APH Group. In other words, I am delighted to start in my new position as CFO and am confident about the future of APH Group”, he looks to a bright future.
