For a comprehensive analysis of the global and North American potato industry, United Potato Growers of America (UPGA) hosts the Potato Business Summit in the beginning of next year.
The Potato Business Summit will take place on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort in Aurora (Colorado) from 8 am to 11 am, right before the upcoming edition of Potato Expo kicks off.
Attendees are promised to get ‘the inside scoop on potato markets and technology’, with a broad list of topics and speakers on the agenda. For a suitable welcome and introduction, there will be presentations by UPGA Chairman Brian Neufeld and President/CEO Mark Klompien, United Potato Growers of Canada’s Chairman Ray Keenan, Potato Marketing Association of North America’s President Dale Lathim and AMVAC Chairman/CEO Eric Wintemute.
During the general session, all facets of the potato industry will be comprehensively analyzed, from an economic outlook by Rabobank’s Stephen Nicholson to a European market update by Cedric Porter from World Potato Markets, to a consumer market overview by Potatoes USA CMO Kim Breshears and a farming technology outlook by Brett Showalter from John Deere, to a frozen potato market update by Bret Nedrow (JR Simplot Co.) and a fresh potato market outlook by United Potato Growers of America’s Mark Klompien. Right after the general session of the Potato Business Summit, Potato Expo kicks off. This two-day event, the largest annual potato industry conference and trade show held in North America, is organized by the National Potato Council.
